Lukas van Dobben

Areas of Practice

Lukas advises companies (both private and publicly listed), business leaders, family offices, shareholders, and investors on all aspects of corporate, commercial, and contract law. His practice also extends to foundations and trusts.

He is active in sectors such as finance, new technologies, energy, and luxury goods.

In transactional matters, Lukas advises Swiss and international clients on mergers and acquisitions — both domestic and cross-border — as well as private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, business transfers, and restructurings.

On a day-to-day basis, Lukas assists his clients with legal matters related to business operations, including contract law, governance, and commercial disputes.

With an Executive MBA, Lukas is also regularly consulted on business development strategy, communication, and crisis management.

He sits on the board of several industrial companies, where he contributes his expertise in governance, strategic leadership, and his in-depth understanding of commercial dynamics and market environments.

Professional Background

Before co-founding STRALTA in December 2023, Lukas completed internships with the Geneva Judiciary (2012) and Python & Peter (2013), worked as an associate at Borel & Barbey (2014–2020), and then as counsel at Mangeat Avocats (2020–2023).

Education

Lukas holds a Bachelor of Law (UNIGE), a bilingual Master’s degree in Economic Law (UNIGE–University of Basel), a Certificate of Specialization in Advocacy (UNIGE), an Executive MBA (UNIGE), and the Geneva bar exam.

Professional Membership

Lukas is a member of the Geneva Bar Association.
